February 2022 : Day visit to Lagos museum, ramparts, and Monte Molião
A day trip to Lagos was organized by João Gonçalves and his wife Birgit on Tuesday February 22. It was well attended and all 25 places available were booked in no time.
We were to be guided by Elena Moran, but, as she was busy in the morning, Rui Perreira took over the morning part and stayed with us also in the afternoon.

We visited the splendid newly re-opened Museum of Lagos and adjacent church. We then had a short presentation about the Lagos ramparts. The current appearance of the ramparts was actually built over the old parts only around 1960 !

We then walked further towards the Marina and had a great lunch at Quay restaurant after which we moved to the adjacent Monte Molião. Members who did not have the opportunity to visit it in 2019, were able to do so now and have an insight in this great site. |
