In order to expand the knowledge geophysical prospecting was carried out in a set of sites identified in the municipality of Alcoutim. The application of this techniques was utilized for the first time in this territory. The prospecting campaign carried out in two sites made it possible to find areas with evidence of strong archaeological potential. The data obtained points to hidden underground structures resembling traces of walls as well as circular structures of combustion (fire places and ovens). This allowed the delimitation of constructed areas and its architectural organization. This "reading" of the underground allows one to manage the limits of the protected area of the site, as well as steering with greater assertiveness further archaeological research.
