Directions for Lagoa lecture
To the Convento
Coming from either the West or the East, take the A22 Motorway as far as the Silves/Lagoa exit. At the roundabouts on either side of the highway follow the direction of Lagoa. After a couple of hundred meters on the dual-carriage way take the exit signposted Lagoa-Norte. At the roundabout at the end of the ramp take the first right (going back over the road). At the roundabout on the other side, go straight ahead. After a kilometer or so you will reach the edge of Lagoa. Bear right at the roundabout and keep straight, pass under the archway ahead. Immediately after the archway to the right is the entrance to the Convento de São José.
Before reaching the archway there is parking to the right, if still available. Otherwise look in the neigbourhood.
